Nuju was a happy guy
until he met Sir Dexter.
He fell off of his purple horse,
So Dexter said, "Who's Nexter?"
CHORUS:
Come on, Nuju, keep it up,
And you'll get some candy!
If, Nuju, you keep it up,
You won't be a rubberbandy!
I was walking nearby town,
and then I saw Sir Juju.
I pick him and dust him off,
and I ask him, "Where is Nuju?"
CHORUS (2):
Don't worry, this song's not done!
Yo-dee-do-dee-dan-dee!
Come on, little honeybun,
Yo-dope-dee-dop-de-fan-me!
I took them home and I fed them
A lot of honey puddin'.
But they said I'd baked it too long,
And it was almost wooden.
CHORUS (3):
So, I'll never try again
To bake some woody pudding.
If Nuju wants the recipe,
Just ask Dexter or Gooding! (?)
Dexter has a recipe,
It tastes like Grandma's homemade pudding.
But it fell down the drain, ah me,
So we can't make more pudding! (Well, it rhymes.)
CHORUS (4):
Dexter, Dexter just keep it up!
Keep on looking, dine-dit!
If you look, then you will surely,
You will surely find it!
I took Nuju for a walk
With my friend Billy Pickle.
He tasted like cucumber.
My, this world is fickle!
CHORUS (5)
Yankee Doodle, keep it up!
And Nuju and Dexter.
And Juju and also I!
And whoever's playing Nexter!
Thank you, thank you!
I never claimed to be a good poet. Only a great one.
